At Prime Herald Initiative, we provide free, inclusive services to support individuals and families in the Greater Ottawa Region — especially newcomers, refugees, and those experiencing poverty or marginalization. Our goal is to offer the tools, knowledge, and support people need to thrive in their new environment.

Basic Needs Support

We provide critical necessities to individuals and families in need, including:

  • Emergency food assistance

  • Clothing for adults and children

  • Hygiene kits and seasonal essentials (e.g., winter gear)

Employment & Skills Development

We support newcomers and job-seekers with the tools to succeed in the Canadian workforce:

  • Resume and cover letter writing

  • Interview preparation and mock interviews

  • Job search strategies and referrals

  • Digital skills training

  • Soft skills development (e.g., communication, time management)

Newcomer & Refugee Support

Specialized services to help immigrants and refugees adapt to life in Canada:

  • Orientation sessions on Canadian systems (healthcare, education, banking, etc.)

  • Immigration information and guidance

  • One-on-one and group counseling

  • Referrals to legal aid, housing, or health services

Community Engagement
